NAF moves to step up precision air strikes, CAS meets Commanders in Abuja
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has ordered Nigerian Air Force commanders across all theatres to step up smarter and more precise air strikes against terrorists and criminal groups. He gave the directive during a strategic meeting with Air Component Commanders on Wednesday at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja.
Air Marshal Aneke said the Air Force will now focus more on intelligence led operations to hit targets accurately and protect civilians. He stated that the NAF must work closely with the Army, Navy, and other security agencies to defeat threats to the country.
He told the commanders that all missions must show professionalism and patriotism, adding that the safety and confidence of Nigerians depend on their performance. He also promised improved welfare, training, and technology support for personnel.
According to him, the Nigerian Air Force will apply strong but disciplined force in line with international standards. He urged the commanders to move from strategy to action and ensure every operation makes real impact on the ground.
