The Nigeria National League (NNL) has initiated a mid-season break, with the second half of the 2024/2025 season set to resume between Friday, March 21, and Sunday, March 23, 2025.
As noted by Ayo Abdulrahman, the league’s Chief Operating Officer, the first half concluded on March 4, 2025.
Throughout this period, teams competed fiercely across conferences A, B, C, and D to secure leading positions.
The break allows teams to regroup and strategize for the challenges ahead in the second half of the season.
In Conference A, Crown FC leads with 21 points, closely followed by Warri Wolves with 20 points. Conference B sees Khun-Khalifa of Owerri on top with 25 points, while Osun United holds second with 22 points.
Wikki Tourists of Bauchi lead Conference C with 13 points, and Yobe Desert Stars top Conference D with 11 points.
The league body also announced the mid-season transfer window is open until Wednesday, March 19, 2025, giving clubs the opportunity to bolster their squads before the league resumes.
The break will officially end on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
At the conclusion of the season, the top two teams from each conference will qualify for the NNL Super 8 Promotional Playoff, with the ultimate goal of securing promotion to the top flight.
