Cross River will support homegrown businesses, innovators – Acting Governor
The Acting Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has said the state government is committed to supporting homegrown businesses and innovators to boost sustainable economic growth.
Odey stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit on Barr. Koko Dan, Chief Executive Officer of LubX Engine Oil, at the company’s headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
During the visit, Odey applauded Dan’s entrepreneurial achievements, hailing him as an exemplary ambassador of Cross River State.
He emphasized the importance of supporting homegrown innovators and businesses in driving economic growth.
“As a government, we take pride in witnessing enterprising Cross Riverians excelling in diverse entrepreneurial fields. We remain committed in supporting them to scale their ventures, create a conducive business environment, and implement policies that catalyze growth both within and beyond our state,” Odey stated

He added: “These efforts are strategic pillars of our administration’s vision to position Cross River as a hub of innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic prosperity.”
A visibly elated Barr. Koko Dan expressed gratitude for the Acting Governor’s endorsement of LubX Engine Oil and his unexpected visit.
He also commended the transformative policies of Governor Bassey Otu’s administration, citing the surge in infrastructure and people-centric projects reshaping the state.
