FG Commissions Ultramodern Equipment to Curb Medical Tourism
The Federal Government has bolstered its efforts to ensure quality healthcare services are both accessible and affordable for Nigerians with the commissioning of state-of-the-art medical equipment.
During an official visit to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Jabi, Abuja, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, inaugurated the ultramodern clinical services building and a ward extension complex.

Dr Salako highlighted that the establishment of the fully equipped 64-bed facility, along with the new clinical services building featuring a dedicated renal unit with 18 haemodialysis beds, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s developmental agenda.
He emphasised the administration’s unwavering commitment to investing significantly in the health sector, citing FMC Jabi as a testament to the government’s determination to reduce medical tourism and enhance healthcare delivery within the country.
