I regard Tinubu as Joseph the Dreamer – Umahi
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has compared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the biblical figure Joseph the Dreamer, describing him as a leader with the courage to pursue and realise bold ambitions for Nigeria.
Umahi made this statement on Friday whilst presenting his ministry’s performance during the Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja.
He remarked that Tinubu’s determination to embark on projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road was inspired by his earlier success with the Eko Atlantic project during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.
“Mr President is a man of courage. I call him Joseph the Dreamer, and God has enabled him to bring his dreams to reality. I commend him most highly,” Umahi stated.
The minister also praised Tinubu for reviving the long-neglected Sokoto-Badagry Road project, an initiative first proposed under the administration of the late President Shehu Shagari, 47 years ago.
“The good news is the Sokoto-Badagry project. This was a vision of the Shagari administration around 47 years ago. It was originally intended as the Badagry-Sokoto route, but a truly detribalised President instructed us to reverse it to Sokoto-Badagry,” Umahi explained.
He further commended Tinubu’s courage in addressing critical infrastructural challenges and his economic policies since assuming office in May 2023.
“Our GDP is on the rise. Inflation is decreasing. Our foreign exchange is positively impacted. The World Bank has confirmed that we are no longer in debt to them. Let us applaud Mr President, a leader of exceptional courage,” Umahi declared.
