Passage of tax reform bills in national interest, says Rep Ogewu David

A member of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ogewu David has said that the passage of the four tax reform bills currently before the National Assembly is in the national interest.
Ogewu who represent Oju/Obi Federal constituency of Benue State in the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) spoke on Sunday at the thanksgiving service to mark the 58 birthday celebration of the Founder of the World Harvest Ministries, Jikwoyi, Arch Bishop Leonard Kawas.
While canvassing support the President and his policies, he said “We need to appreciate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu because the tax bill before us will address the multiple taxation in the country. I have studied the bills and we will pass it by the Grace of God.
“Part of the tax bills is saying eat what you produce . You produce more , you eat more. The president meant well and by the Grace of God he is putting medicine to everything and all will be well.
“We are not rubber stamp. We cannot come out to come and shout but this year there will be reflection of govt budgeting to the down trodden and rural areas”
“Don’t forget to pray for the land . Pray for the National Assembly so we can function well. Not every one is corrupt in Igede. Don’t give up the country will be fine”
He however described Archbishop Kawas as a man of God full of integrity and worthy of celebration
“ it is good to be good and For me and my family, we have come to celebrate our father , a man worthy of celebrating”.
