BREAKING: Supreme Court upholds Monday Okpebholo’s election as Edo Governor
The Supreme Court has officially affirmed the election of Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected governor of Edo State.
Delivering the judgment, a five-man panel led by Justice Mohammed Garba Lawal ruled that the appellants failed to substantiate their claims of electoral malpractice, non-compliance with electoral guidelines, unlawful votes, and allegations that Okpebholo was not validly elected.
The apex court dismissed the appeal, describing it as lacking in merit.
More details to come.
