Tanker Explosion : Farmer Governor Umaru Bago hosts APC National Chairman on condolence visit

Niger State Governor. Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has received the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on a condolence visit over the recent tanker explosion at Dikko junction.
The APC National Chairman, who led the National Working Committee (NWC), and other leaders of the Party were received at the Niger State liaison office in Abuja.
Dr Umar Ganduje, who explained that their visit was to condole with the government and the people of Niger State over the disaster, described the incident as unfortunate.
He said the incident could have been prevented, but human behaviour, especially at the scene of the accident, contributed to the loss of many lives.
While extending the sympathy of the national body of the APC to the Niger State Government, the national chairman of the party prayed to God to repose the souls of the departed, grant quick recovery to the injured, and comfort the families of the victims.
Speaking on the banditry activities in Niger State, the APC National Chairman commended the farmer governor for his efforts in ensuring the safety of the people and called for sustained offensive attacks to take over the forests in the state.
Dr. Ganduje noted that the landmass and presence of many forests in Niger State have provided a haven for bandits, pointing out that sustained offensive attacks in the area would bring an end to their nefarious activities.
He also suggested a synergy between the federal and state governments to build institutions in the forests to make the area busy with positive activities.
The APC National Chairman applauded the farmer governor for his giant strides in road infrastructure ongoing in Niger State and prayed for his administration’s success.
Responding, farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago appreciated the APC National Chairman and his entourage for the visit, which he said meant a lot to him.
He stated that measures are being put in place for intensive advocacy on the need for people not to engage in scooping content of any tanker in an accident scene.
The farmer governor reiterated his call on the Federal Government to consider the quick completion of the Minna-Suleja road to decongest traffic on the road.
He thanked the National Chairman of the APC for inspiring him and reassured him of his administration’s continuous support and loyalty.
