Abuja hosts ECOWAS Wrestling tournament with full backing from National Sports Commission
Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko of the National Sports Commission Welcomes Participating Nations to the ECOWAS Wrestling Tournament in Abuja
During the opening ceremony, Mallam Dikko reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to fostering the growth and promotion of traditional sports.
He emphasized that the Sports Commission is also dedicated to leveraging sports as a tool for youth empowerment, regional integration, and economic development.

The 13th edition of the tournament is expected to feature around 55 wrestlers and will run until 8th March.
