Akpabio, Gov. Umo Eno visit Tinubu in Aso Villa
President Bola Tinubu on Friday held a closed-door meeting with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The high-level meeting, which took place at Aso Rock, forms part of the President’s ongoing consultations with political stakeholders across Nigeria on issues of national interest and governance.
Governor Eno, who now heads the All Progressives Congress (APC) structure in Akwa Ibom State, arrived at the Villa in the company of Senate President Akpabio—a former governor of the state—and two other key political figures from the South-South.
Although the Presidency has yet to release full details of their discussions, the visit is widely seen as a strategic political engagement aimed at deepening collaboration between the Federal Government and Akwa Ibom, while fostering greater unity within the APC in the region.
