Anxiety as gunmen abduct Health Ministry staff in Abuja
Gunmen have kidnapped 47-year-old Sunday Ani, a staff member of the Federal Ministry of Health, during a late-night attack on his home in Abuja.
The abduction happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, near Grow Homes Estate in Chikakore, Kubwa, Bwari Council Area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Very Nigerian reports that the attackers forced their way into Ani’s residence and took him to an unknown location.
His whereabouts remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.
Ani, who is said to be a driver with the Federal Ministry of Health, is an indigene of Ebonyi State and of Igbo extraction.
Details surrounding the operation, including the number of attackers and whether any ransom demand has been made, remain unclear.
Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
Efforts to reach police authorities for confirmation and updates were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
