BREAKING: Tinubu swears in Tunji Disu as 23rd Inspector-General of Police
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Tunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
The swearing-in took place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
In addition to Disu, President Tinubu administered the oath of office to six commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and two from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).
The ceremony was attended by ministers, senior government officials, and family members of the appointees. The FEC meeting proceeded immediately after the swearing-in, with a significant number of Council members present.
Key attendees included Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser, and Head of the Civil Service, Mrs Esther Walson-Jack.
