Miss Comfort Emmanson, the young woman at the centre of a clash with Ibom Air crew members, has come out to narrate her experience.

In a detailed post on her Instagram page, @soft_commy, Emmanson accused a flight attendant, identified as Julian Edwards, of forcefully pulling off her frontal wig, cutting her gold jewelry, and damaging her phones.

She explained that the issue started when she struggled to switch off her phones during pre-flight checks. According to her, even though a passenger beside her helped to switch them off, the hostess warned her with the words, “you will see.”

Emmanson recounted that on arrival in Lagos, the same flight attendant blocked her exit from the aircraft. She said she began recording the scene, but things quickly turned physical when the crew member attacked her, tore her clothes, pulled her wig, and broke her devices.

The young woman further alleged that she was insulted, called a prostitute, and surrounded by several men who tried to restrain her while her private parts were exposed in the process. She said the incident left her bruised, humiliated, and traumatised.

Emmanson lamented that the release of videos and private images from the altercation on social media has worsened her distress, as people have used them to mock her. She added that this has damaged her confidence, her career prospects in real estate, and her reputation.

She said, “Right now, I don’t know how I will be going for work interview. Imagine going to advertise a property to a client and they will be looking at my breast. I never expected the phone situation to end up like this. My body is out there, people are mocking me.”

Emmanson concluded that she is not a troublemaker and did not refuse to switch off her phone as widely speculated, but is now left to deal with both physical and emotional scars from the incident.
