FCT Minister congratulates women as pillars of society
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr Nyesom Wike, has commended women for their invaluable contributions to society, emphasizing their role as pillars of the home and nation-building.
In his goodwill message on International Women’s Day, Barr Wike acknowledged the sacrifices and resilience of women, particularly those in the FCT, stating that they deserve continuous recognition and celebration.
A statement issued in Milan, Italy, by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, reaffirmed the Minister’s commitment to ensuring that women receive their deserved recognition under his leadership.
He also extended special appreciation to women in the FCT, urging them to continue supporting the government as it delivers the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Acknowledging the impact of women in governance, Barr Wike celebrated the Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mahmoud Mariya, and the first female Head of Service, Grace Adayilo, for their leadership and service.
