The historic event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo by 12 noon.
According to a statement released by the party, the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will lead the official reception of Governor Umo Eno and his team into the ruling party. The presentation will be made by the Akwa Ibom State APC Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo.
Expected to grace the event is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will personally welcome the Akwa Ibom governor into the party’s progressive fold. Also billed to attend is the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, serving as the chief host of the occasion, a move expected to further cement the political ties between the state and the Federal Government.
Other dignitaries anticipated include members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, the APC National Working Committee, top party chieftains, and political stakeholders from different parts of the country.
The APC, in its invitation, called on traditional rulers, political leaders, youth and women groups, as well as all citizens and residents of Akwa Ibom State to be part of what it described as a landmark political event. The party urged the people to come out in large numbers to give a rousing welcome to the President, the Senate President, and other distinguished guests as they celebrate a new chapter of unity and progress for Akwa Ibom under the APC.
The statement was signed by Hon. Aniekan Umanah, Chairman, Media & Publicity Sub-Committee for the event.
