The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has bestowed its highest professional honour on the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Digital, Information Communication Technology and Cybersecurity, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide.
The recognition was announced on Thursday at the 2025 Nigeria Information Technology Merit Award (NITMA), held at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos. The annual ceremony brings together top innovators, policymakers and industry leaders to celebrate excellence across Nigeria’s digital and technological ecosystem.
This year’s event, attended by government officials, ICT professionals, global partners and members of the tech community, featured the formal elevation of select individuals whose work has made significant impact on the nation’s digital growth.
Speaking on the development, Tolu Mustapha, Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to Hon. Olajide, said the lawmaker’s induction into the prestigious College of Fellows followed a thorough evaluation by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Nigeria Computer Society. He noted that the council considered Hon. Olajide’s notable contributions to digital innovation, legislative progress and reforms in cybersecurity policy.
Mustapha added that the NEC, led by NCS President Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, described the fellowship as a recognition of Hon. Olajide’s exceptional service, professional distinction and long-standing dedication to advancing Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
