Super Eagles to face Russia in June Friendly at Luzhniki Stadium

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are set to clash with Russia in an international friendly scheduled for 6th June at the famous Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The game will mark the Russian national team’s return to their main football ground for the first time since their goalless draw against Croatia during a 2021 World Cup qualifier.
Before heading to Moscow, the Super Eagles will participate in the Unity Cup, an Afro-Caribbean football tournament last held in 2004. The event, which will feature Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, is set for next month at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford.
Nigeria will lock horns with Ghana’s Black Stars in the second semi-final of the competition on 28th May.
