Tinubu hails Shehu Dikko at 55, praises leadership in Nigerian Sports
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), as he marks his 55th birthday.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Dikko as a reformer and respected administrator who has shown unwavering dedication to integrity and progress in Nigerian sports.
The President acknowledged Dikko’s pivotal role in revamping the domestic football league and steering the apex sports body toward accountability and performance excellence. He noted that under Dikko’s leadership, the National Sports Commission is being reorganised in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda’s objectives of youth empowerment, national unity, and economic development.
Tinubu commended Dikko for his enduring contributions to the country’s sports ecosystem and his consistent pursuit of excellence. As he celebrates this milestone, the President wished him continued good health, strength, and even greater achievements in service to the nation.
