BREAKING: Sean ‘Diddy’ sentenced to over Four Years in Prison
US rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to more than four years in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transporting people for prostitution.
The 55-year-old received a 50-month jail term on Friday from U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian at a New York courthouse.
Combs was convicted of flying people across the United States for sexual encounters he referred to as “freak-offs,” involving his girlfriends and male sex workers.
He was arrested in September 2024 after more than 120 accusers, including a minor, accused him of kidnapping, blackmail, abuse, and other prostitution-related crimes.
In July, a jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution linked to encounters with individuals named Ventura and Jane.
He was, however, cleared of charges including sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and racketeering conspiracy.
Earlier this week, federal prosecutors asked for an 11-year sentence, describing Combs as “unrepentant” and claiming his actions left victims in fear.
His defense team argued for 14 months, equal to the time he has already spent in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Combs has now spent about 14 months in jail, and the case continues to draw international attention.
