Arsenal reward David Raya with improved contract after impressive form
Arsenal have handed Spanish goalkeeper David Raya an improved contract in recognition of his outstanding performances under manager Mikel Arteta.
Reports indicate that Raya has agreed to new terms, which include a pay rise on the deal he signed after joining the club permanently in the summer of 2024.
Previously earning around £100,000 per week, the 29-year-old will now receive a higher salary, though the duration of his contract, set to run until 2028 with an option for extension, remains unchanged.
Raya, who first joined Arsenal on loan from Brentford in 2023, has become one of the Premier League’s most consistent goalkeepers, winning back-to-back Golden Glove awards in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
