BREAKING: No going back on impeachment against Fubara, Deputy – Rivers Assembly
Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Friday declared that they would go ahead with the impeachment process against Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The lawmakers made this known during an ongoing press conference in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
According to the Assembly, their decision followed what they described as constitutional and legislative concerns surrounding the governor’s actions, though full details were not immediately provided at the briefing.
NUJFCT reports that the governor and the members of the Assembly have been embroiled in a political face-off.
