Governor Bago commissions State-of-the-Art Annoor Jumma’at Mosque ( Photos)

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago has inaugurated the newly built Annoor Jumma’at Mosque at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre
He described the event as historic, emphasizing that the previous location of the mosque was inconvenient for some people.
The governor stated that the new mosque, built for the service of Allaah, is open to all Muslims regardless of sect and will serve as a tool for promoting unity.
During the inauguration, Governor Bago reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting citizens by providing food items at a 50% discount and distributing some for free during Ramadan.
Traditional leaders, including the Etsu Nupe (represented by the Emir of Agaie), commended the governor’s initiative and urged Muslims to support one another.
The Director General of the Bureau for Religious Affairs, Mal. Umar Faruk Abdullahi highlighted the mosque’s role in promoting unity by involving scholars and leaders from different Islamic sects.
The event concluded with a congregational prayer led by Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu, who, in his sermon, reminded Muslims of the spiritual benefits of Ramadan and encouraged repentance and devotion.
The inauguration was attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries.
