NUJ President Yahaya sends Ramadan greetings to Muslim Faithful

The President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, has extended his warm greetings to journalists and the Muslim faithful as they commence the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on Saturday Comrade Yahaya expressed his wishes for peace, patience, and prosperity during this sacred period, urging members to embrace the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to attain the full rewards of their good deeds.
“As we embark on this spiritual journey, I urge you all to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to earn the full rewards of good deeds. Let us strive to be better versions of ourselves, cultivating empathy, kindness, and compassion,” he said.
The NUJ President emphasised the importance of charity, particularly in light of prevailing economic challenges, calling on members to extend their generosity to the less privileged.
“As we face economic realities, let us remember those in need and share our blessings with them. May our generosity be a source of comfort and hope for those around us,” he added.
Furthermore, Comrade Yahaya urged members to pray for the Union’s leadership and the progress of the journalism profession, assuring them of his administration’s commitment to building a strong and reliable NUJ.
“I solicit your support and prayers for our administration to deliver on our campaign promises and take the Union to enviable heights. May Almighty Allah guide us to make decisions that benefit our members and the journalism profession as a whole,” he stated.
He also called for prayers for Nigeria’s leaders, expressing hope that divine intervention would bring peace and prosperity to the country.
“As we begin this sacred journey, I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds,” he concluded.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims worldwide as a period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community support.
