FG to hold summit on Integrated Diagnostic Services
As part of efforts to enhance universal health coverage and unlock its value chains, the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, through its Medical Laboratory Services Division, will organise a National Summit on Integrated Diagnostic Services.
A statement by the Deputy Director, Information & Public Relations in the Ministry, Mr Alaba Balogun, states that the maiden summit, themed “Unlocking Healthcare Value Chains and Improving Universal Health Coverage through Integrated Diagnostic Services,” is scheduled to take place in Abuja from 11th to 13th March 2025.
According to the statement, the summit will reaffirm the federal government’s commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity in the diagnostic sector while showcasing Nigeria’s progress in expanding and integrating diagnostic technology.
It further notes that these efforts align with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at transforming Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem and repositioning the country as a global hub for health product and technology manufacturing.
Beyond serving as a platform for networking and exhibitions of cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, the summit will also feature discussions on local manufacturing of diagnostic products, healthcare system strengthening, and fostering partnerships, collaboration, and research.
