NNPP ‘dead’, Kwankwaso negotiating to return to APC – Ganduje

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is no longer relevant, describing it as “dead” and predicting its final collapse soon.
Ganduje made this statement on Tuesday in Abuja during a courtesy visit by the Tinubu Support Group to the APC national secretariat. He claimed that the party’s national leader and former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is likely to return to the APC.
According to Ganduje, the APC under his leadership remains open to receiving Kwankwaso back into its fold. He explained that the ruling party has continued to attract top politicians and lawmakers from various parts of the country.
He further dismissed the growing political opposition ahead of the 2027 elections, describing it as a fragile coalition that would soon break apart, with its leaders eventually returning to the APC.
“The NNPP is dead. And it will soon be buried very, very soon. I’m hoping that where we will put the dead body, the coffin has already been constructed. What remains now is to dig the grave. And already they are digging the grave very, very soon,” Ganduje stated.
He added, “Even like that, the so-called NNPP national leader, he too, he says after losing everyone, he wants to come back to us, we will welcome him, because he’s coming back home.”
