Davido drops 5th Studio Album ‘5ive’, features Chris Brown, Omah Lay, Others

Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has officially released his highly anticipated fifth studio album titled ‘5ive’.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 17-track album is a blend of Afrobeat, global sounds, and personal expression, coming two years after the success of his 2023 album ‘Timeless’, which peaked at number two on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.
In the build-up to the album’s release, Davido had dropped three singles: ‘Be There Still’, ‘Funds’ featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley, setting the tone for the full project.
‘5ive’ showcases collaborations with a star-studded list of artists including Chris Brown, Omah Lay, Victony, Becky G, Shenseea, and others, highlighting Davido’s global appeal and musical versatility.
On ‘Funds’, Davido brings his signature high-energy vocals, while Odumodublvck adds streetwise grit and Chike softens the edges with soulful melodies. ‘Titanium’, featuring Chris Brown, tells the emotional story of resisting heartbreak, while ‘Offa Me’ with Victoria Monet explores themes of desire. ‘Nuttin Dey’ is a bold declaration of confidence and longevity in the music industry.
The album’s release marks another major milestone for Davido as he continues to solidify his position as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
