Full List: Ghana Military releases names of victims in helicopter crash

The Ghana Armed Forces has disclosed the identities of those who perished in the tragic military helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday morning.
The incident involved a Z-9 helicopter owned by the Ghana Armed Forces, which reportedly lost contact while en route from Accra to Obuasi, a southern gold-mining town, for an official assignment.
Describing the crash as a national tragedy, Ghanaian President John Mahama suspended all official engagements upon receiving the news.
He further ordered national flags to be flown at half-mast in honour of the fallen officers.

1. Edward Omane Boamah – Minister for defence
2. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed – Minister for environment, science and technology
3. Muniru Mohammed – Acting deputy, national security coordinator and former minister for food and agriculture
4. Samuel Sarpong – Vice-chairman, National Democratic Congress (NDC).
5. Samuel Aboagye – Former parliamentary candidate
6.Peter Baafemi Anala – Squadron leader
7. Manaen Twum Ampadu – Flying officer
8. Ernest Addo – Sergeant
President Bola Tinubu condoled with the Ghanaian nation urging the bereaved families to find comfort in the knowledge that their loved ones died in the line of patriotic service to the country.
