APC resumes nationwide electronic membership registration
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the nationwide resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise, the party said on Wednesday.
In a statement shared on X, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the registration would take place in all wards and designated locations across Nigeria. The party urged both existing and prospective members to participate in the exercise.
“As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family,” the statement read.
The APC noted that only adults with valid identification are eligible to register. “Registrants must be 18 years or older and must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN),” it added.
The party explained that the digital registration initiative aims to modernise internal processes and improve data management. “The e-registration exercise is designed to digitize the Party’s membership register, ensure the integrity of records, enhance efficient access to membership data for planning and management decisions, promote internal democracy, and strengthen the Party’s commitment to democratic innovation in Nigeria,” the statement said.
This development reflects the APC’s ongoing efforts to adopt digital systems for membership management ahead of upcoming political activities, signalling a focus on transparency, efficiency, and modern governance practices within the party.
