BREAKING: Ex-Immigration Boss killed by Kidnappers in Abuja
The former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), David Shikfu Parradang, has been killed by kidnappers in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Parradang was reportedly abducted in the Area 1 district of Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday.
Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, citing sources, revealed that the attackers trailed him from a bank where he had withdrawn money. After seizing the cash, they took him away and later killed him.
Parradang had a distinguished career in the Nigerian Immigration Service, serving for over 30 years in various capacities across different states, including Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and the FCT. He rose to become Comptroller-General, a position he held with dedication until his retirement.
Beyond his work in immigration, he was a respected policy expert and a graduate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS). In recognition of his contributions to national service, he was awarded the prestigious national honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
Security agencies have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his abduction and killing.
