BREAKING: Petition seeking Natasha Akpoti’s recall failed to meet constitutional requirement – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a petition seeking the recall of Natasha Akpoti-Uduahan, the senator representing Kogi Central, did not meet the constitutional requirements.
In a statement issued on Thursday, INEC referenced Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which outlines the conditions necessary for recalling a lawmaker.
According to INEC, the petition failed to satisfy these legal stipulations, leading to its rejection.
