Carter Efe set to receive ₦50m prize after boxing win over Portable
Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has announced that he will receive his ₦50 million cash prize on Wednesday from businessman Emeka Okonkwo (E-Money), following his victory over singer Portable in a celebrity boxing match.
Efe disclosed the development in an Instagram post, saying he was informed by music executive Soso Soberekon about the time and location of the payment.
According to him, the cash handover will take place at E-Money’s residence, and he also plans to stream the event live for his followers.
“May 6, 2026. Going to E-Money’s house to receive N50 million. Soso talk set him go give me time and location,” he wrote.
Carter Efe defeated Portable at the “Chaos in the Ring” celebrity boxing event held last Friday at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, winning by unanimous decision in a one-sided bout that attracted wide public attention.
Before the fight, Portable had claimed that E-Money and Soso Soberekon promised a ₦50 million cash prize and a car for the winner.
However, shortly after his victory, Efe expressed frustration over the delay in receiving the reward, insisting that he had yet to be paid.
“Dem never give me my money oo. I never see N50 million… I nearly die for that fight,” he lamented in pidgin English.
The latest update suggests the long-awaited payout may finally be concluded on Wednesday.
