JAMB releases 2025 Mock UTME Results, gives checking guide

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Candidates who took part in the optional examination can now check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019, using the phone number used during registration.
According to JAMB, the mock UTME is an annual practice designed to test new innovations introduced by the Board and to give candidates firsthand experience of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
Out of the 200,115 candidates who initially indicated interest in the exercise, only 200,113 eventually registered, as two withdrew. However, 73,844 candidates were absent on the examination day, while 88 others could not be verified due to biometric issues.
A total of 126,181 candidates successfully took the examination, and results for 115,735 of them have been released. JAMB added that 10,446 results are still undergoing processing and will be made available in due course.
The Board acknowledged delays experienced by some candidates and expressed regret over the inconvenience, attributing the hiccups to the testing of new features expected to improve the conduct of the forthcoming main UTME.
JAMB emphasized that the mock exam has continued to serve its purpose of identifying and resolving system lapses while equipping candidates with relevant CBT exposure.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Adviser (PCA) of JAMB, urged candidates to remain patient and continue preparing for the main exam.
