MultiChoice raises rates subscription for DSTV, GOtv

Multichoice has revealed that it will be increasing the prices for its DStv and GOtv packages, with the new rates taking effect on 1 March 2025.

In a customer statement issued on Monday, the company explained that the adjustment is essential to continue providing high-quality local and international programming via cutting-edge technology. Notably, this marks the second price review within a twelve-month period.

According to the updated fee structure, the DStv Compact package will now be priced at N19,000, up from N15,700. The DStv Compact Plus package is set at N30,000, while the Premium subscription will cost N44,500.

GOtv subscribers are also set to face an increase. The basic package will rise from N3,600 to N3,900, the GOtv Plus package will move from N4,850 to N5,800, and the GOtv Max package will be available for N8,500. Additionally, the Supa and Supa Plus packages will be priced at N11,400 and N16,800, respectively.

The company attributed the price adjustments to escalating operational costs in Nigeria, pointing to the depreciation of the currency and inflationary pressures as the primary factors behind the hike.
