NUJ Lagos applauds Oyetunde on appointment as Organising committee chair for 70th Anniversary
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Lagos State Council has congratulated, the Union’s Deputy National President, Dr Abimbola Oyetunde, on her appointment as Chairman, Organising Committee to mark NUJ’s 70th Anniversary.
Reacting to the appointment, Chairman NUJ Lagos State Council, Mr. Adeleye Ajayi described Oyetunde as a woman of ideas and experience.
“This is an appointment well deserved. Dr Abimbola Oyetunde is vast, well exposed, a team player and a goal-getter.
“I can boldly say that her committee will deliver beyond our expectations because of her competence, style of leadership and professionalism.
“We also wish to congratulate our National President, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya and all journalists in Nigeria for this great feat, ” he said.
Ajayi affirmed that NUJ would continue to take the welfare of members seriously, while urging journalists to be steadfast in discharging their duties.
He said that Union would continue to attain giant strides, as it looked forward to a successful anniversary.
