Oyo Pastor’s daughter regains freedom after abduction
The daughter of Reverend Dr. Lekan Babatunde, founder of Jesus is King Ministries, has regained her freedom following her abduction earlier this week in Oyo State.
The young woman was reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint while returning from school, sparking widespread concern among residents and church members. Security operatives, working alongside local vigilante groups, conducted an intensive search that led to her safe release.
The Oyo State Police Command commended the collaborative effort, stating that no ransom was paid and investigations are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for the crime.
In a statement, Reverend Dr. Babatunde expressed deep gratitude to law enforcement, community members, and well-wishers for their prayers and support during the tense ordeal. He also urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of their children.
Authorities have reminded residents to report any suspicious activities promptly to security agencies to help curb the rising incidents of abduction across the state.
