Stakeholders back Elumelu’s return, cite experience, development gains
Leadership is often measured not just by time spent in office, but by the tangible impact on the lives of the people. Over the past twelve years, Ndudi Elumelu has built a reputation among supporters for commitment and consistency in representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
During his tenure in the National Assembly, Elumelu has served as a voice for his constituents while acting as a bridge between the grassroots and the federal government. Backers point to developmental projects, empowerment programmes, and increased policy attention to the constituency as outcomes of his representation.
As a former Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Elumelu amassed significant legislative experience and cultivated relationships across party lines. Political observers say these connections have helped him attract federal interventions and development initiatives to his constituency.
Beyond his legislative duties, he has also been linked to human capital development efforts, particularly in youth empowerment and support for women and small-scale businesses across communities within the constituency.
At a time when experience and institutional knowledge are widely seen as critical in governance, some stakeholders argue that returning Elumelu to the National Assembly could ensure continuity in representation and ongoing development efforts.
Supporters further contend that sustained leadership can help consolidate existing programmes and provide stability at the national level.
With over a decade of legislative experience and an established political network, Elumelu remains a significant figure in Delta State politics, continuing to draw support from those who believe his return would benefit the constituency.
