Digital news platform ‘Very Nigerian’ targets credible reporting
In a bold move to fight misinformation and strengthen credible journalism, Very Nigerian has officially launched as a new digital news platform committed to tackling fake news in Nigeria.
The platform promises to deliver accurate, reliable, and timely information, ensuring that Nigerians can trust what they read online.
According to its founders, the rise of false news and misleading reports in the country inspired the creation of Very Nigerian.
“We launched Very Nigerian because Nigerians deserve a media platform they can rely on, one that reports facts, amplifies real voices, and promotes accountability,” said the editorial lead.
Very Nigerian’s coverage spans National News, Politics, Society, Economy, Business, Sports, Culture, and Lifestyle, all delivered with a commitment to truth and integrity.
The platform operates under six core principles: truth, integrity, patriotism, accountability, balance, and innovation.
Designed to reach a wide audience, including young citizens, professionals, and Nigerians in the diaspora, Very Nigerian aims to rebuild trust in media while highlighting the country’s achievements and challenges responsibly.
The platform is available at verynigerian.com and has already begun publishing news stories, analyses, and features with a fact-based approach.
With its launch, Very Nigerian seeks not only to inform but also to restore confidence in Nigerian journalism and fight the spread of fake news in the country.
