ADC says it is poised for victory in 2027 despite lacking sitting Governors

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed confidence in its chances of winning the 2027 general elections, insisting that the absence of sitting governors in its fold will not impede the party’s ambitions.

In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s national leadership said the ADC has strengthened its grassroots structures nationwide, noting that its focus on credible candidates, youth mobilisation, and strategic alliances places it in a strong position ahead of the polls.

The party maintained that electoral success in Nigeria is no longer determined solely by incumbency or political control of states, but by public trust and the ability to present solutions to pressing national challenges.

According to the ADC, Nigerians are increasingly demanding issue-based leadership, transparency, and inclusive governance values the party claims to embody. It added that ongoing reforms within its ranks are aimed at ensuring internal unity and boosting its national appeal.
