Gov Bago appoints Emir of Agaie as Niger State Amirul Hajj for 2026
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of the Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, as the State Amirul Hajj for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abubakar Usman, who said the first-class traditional ruler was selected based on his proven record of hard work, commitment, patriotism and integrity.
Governor Bago congratulated the Emir on his appointment and prayed for God’s guidance as he undertakes what he described as a significant and demanding national assignment.
The statement was signed by Lawal Tanko, Coordinator of Press Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Niger State, and dated 28 November 2025.
