The National Assembly of Nigeria has again postponed the resumption of plenary sessions, shifting the date from Thursday, March 5 to Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

In a notice issued on Tuesday to senators and members of the House of Representatives, the leadership announced that plenary will now resume at 11:00 a.m. on the new date.

The statement was signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, who urged lawmakers in both chambers to take note of the adjustment and reschedule their official engagements accordingly.

According to the notice, the leadership of the two Houses expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement may cause.

This marks the second adjustment to the resumption timetable. The Assembly had earlier moved its reconvening from February 24 to March 5 to allow committees conclude ongoing budget defence sessions.

The latest postponement is expected to give lawmakers additional time to wrap up outstanding legislative and committee assignments before plenary proceedings resume.
