The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM), Pastor Dr William F. Kumuyi, has urged Nigerian political leaders to place the welfare of the people at the centre of their leadership priorities.

He emphasised that politicians should not place themselves above those who elected them, but should remember that citizens expect them to fully deliver on the mandate for which they were voted into office.

Pastor Kumuyi made this statement during a courtesy visit to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Ambassador Kevin Ngozi Anugwo, the Eze Ekpeye-Logbo III.

The DCLM General Superintendent explained that he was in Ahoada for the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, aimed at reminding people around the world that Christ Jesus is all-sufficient—able to save, heal and deliver those facing various challenges. The crusade will hold for three nights, beginning on Friday and ending on Sunday, 8 March 2026.

“Let it be known that God is sufficient to meet the needs of everyone who comes to Him through faith in Jesus,” Pastor Kumuyi declared.

He also prayed for the monarch, asking that the Lord would use him to render effective service to the kingdom of God.

In his response, the Eze Ekpeye-Logbo noted that the previous visit of the man of God in 2024 was beneficial, as it positively influenced political and cultural circles as well as community relations in the area. He expressed delight that the Ekpeye Kingdom and its people were hosting Pastor Kumuyi again, with great expectations of greater divine blessings.

Dignitaries present at the occasion included the State Overseer of Rivers Central Administration and Coordinator of the Deeper Life Church in the South-South zone, Pastor Pious Idume, and the host State Overseer for Rivers West Administration, Pastor Nkeruwem Ukoh. More than 12 other state and regional overseers were also in attendance.

Additionally, over 15 traditional rulers, clan heads and chiefs from the area were present at the palace for the visit.
