City Boy Movement confirms Cubana Chief Priest as Imo Director
The national leadership of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has affirmed that Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, remains the organisation’s officially recognised Director in Imo State.
In a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, CBM Director-General Francis Shoga described recent reports suggesting internal leadership disputes or the withdrawal of Okechukwu’s appointment as “misleading and inaccurate.” He reiterated that no new appointments had been issued or validated beyond the current leadership.
Shoga stressed that the CBM operates with clear procedures and due process in all matters of state coordination, adding that any official decisions are formally communicated through authorised channels.
“The City Boy Movement remains a structured and disciplined organisation. Any ambiguity arising from recent correspondence is a ploy to discredit the integrity of the group,” Shoga said.
He highlighted that the movement’s focus remains on grassroots mobilisation, consolidating support structures, and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections, in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s national development vision.
Members and the public were urged to disregard unverified reports capable of causing confusion, with Shoga reaffirming CBM’s commitment to unity, transparency, and organisational discipline across all states.
