FCT Area Council Elections: Smooth voting at Lugbe Polling Unit 009 as apathy, doubts dampen spirits
At Polling Unit 009, Lugbe Primary School, accreditation is proceeding smoothly, with ballots now issued to eligible voters.
However, post-accreditation turnout remains disappointingly low compared to previous elections. Voters expressed uncertainty, citing concerns that their votes might not count.
Notably, women are outnumbering men at the polls, while youth corps members who double as officials were sighted carrying out their job effectively
As of this report, voting continues peacefully. After casting ballots, many voters are leaving the area and plan to return around 2:30 PM to witness the vote counting.
