FCT Decides : Bwari Voters Turn Out en masse
As the highly anticipated FCT Area Council Elections kicked off today, February 21, 2026, residents of Bwari Area Council eagerly exercised their democratic rights.
At Polling Unit 021 along 16-16 Road in Bwari, PDP party agent Mr. Sadiq Obada reported a smooth start. INEC officials arrived around 8:30 a.m. with election materials, which party agents and security personnel verified as intact.
“So far so good,” Obada said. “We’ve seen no election violence, misconduct, vote buying, or ballot box snatching. The atmosphere remains serene and peaceful.”
Of the 66 registered voters at the unit, 25 had already cast their ballots.
Obada added that other polling units across Bwari Area Council have also proceeded without incident, avoiding any risk of violence, social unrest, or vandalism.
