FRSC Corps Marshal approves redeployment of Senior Officers to boost operational efficiency
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved the posting and redeployment of senior officers across key commands and formations nationwide, in a move aimed at strengthening operational delivery and leadership effectiveness.
The redeployment, which takes immediate effect, is part of the Corps’ ongoing efforts to align leadership placement with strategic priorities, road safety demands and administrative efficiency.
Under the new postings, Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye has been moved from the Special Duties and External Relations Department to the Department of Administration and Human Resources at the National Headquarters. Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Godwin Omiko, PhD, formerly the Corps Project Implementation Officer, has been redeployed to head the Special Duties and External Relations Department.
ACM A. Sanusi, fdc, previously in charge of Manpower Development and Training, has been appointed Zonal Commanding Officer of RS1 Headquarters, Kaduna, while ACM M.O. Olonisaye, former Corps Safety Engineering Officer, now heads RS2 Zonal Command in Lagos.
Similarly, ACM A. Umar, until now the Zonal Commanding Officer of RS1HQ, has been nominated for a course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS), Kuru.
In another development, ACM J.W. Toby and ACM E. Odiete have exchanged command positions between RS5HQ Benin and RS11HQ Osogbo. ACM Y.A. Haruna has been appointed Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Federal Operations, while ACM A.K. Odeleye-Oladayo has been posted to RS8HQ Ilorin as Zonal Commanding Officer to enhance administrative and operational coordination.
ACM C.M. Onukwubiri has been redeployed from RS8HQ Ilorin to the National Headquarters, where he will serve as Corps Safety Engineering Officer.
At the Corps Commander level, CC F.A. Ogidan has been appointed Corps Commander in charge of Command Administration and Strategy. CC Ibrahim has been posted as Sector Commander in Adamawa State, while CC A.S. Ogungbemi takes over as Sector Commander in Plateau State.
In addition, CC S.E. Dawulung has been named Acting Corps Project Implementation Officer, while CC D.A. Bello has been appointed to head Special Marshals at the National Headquarters in Abuja.

The Corps Marshal directed all affected officers to ensure seamless handing and taking over of responsibilities and to assume duty immediately.
FRSC management expressed confidence that the redeployment would further enhance command efficiency, service delivery and institutional responsiveness across the country.
