Major General Emekah inaugurates 2025 Nigerian army Inter-Brigade competition for Corporals and Below

Major General Eric Emekah, the General Officer Commanding 6 Division of the Nigerian Army and Land Component Commander of Joint Task Force Operation DELTA SAFE, has inaugurated the 2025 Division Inter-Brigade Corporal and Below Competition.
The brief ceremony took place on Monday at the 6 Battalion Parade Ground, Wellington Bassey Barracks, Ibagwa.
According to a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Adebowale Adejimi, the Commander of 2 Brigade representing the DELTA SAFE Commander explained that the training aims to enhance the combat proficiency of non-commissioned officers at the corporal level and below.
He emphasized that the program is also designed to build leadership qualities, test endurance, and assess organizational abilities among the participating troops.
The Commander further noted that the operational successes achieved by Operation DELTA SAFE are a direct result of the mental and physical readiness of Nigerian Army personnel.
Participating formations will compete in various events, including drill, weapon handling and shooting, a 5km combat race, map reading, combat swimming, and other combat-focused exercises.
