Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan removed as Senate Committee Chair
Strong indications have surfaced that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the PDP, representing Kogi Central, is facing fresh political troubles as the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has removed her as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs.
This latest development comes months after she was earlier taken off the Chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Local Content in February and reassigned to head the Diaspora and NGOs Committee. With this decision, Senator Natasha will now resume without holding the leadership of any Senate committee.
Senator Akpabio has reportedly replaced her with Senator Aniekan Bassey, representing Akwa Ibom North East.
More details are expected to unfold as reactions trail this latest shake-up in the Senate committee structure.
