JAMB clarifies 2025 Direct Entry Registration period, fraud investigation

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a clarification regarding the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) Registration, dispelling rumors that the process would close on Monday, April 7, 2025.
According to the board, the registration, which began on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, will remain open until an official closing date is announced.
Candidates interested in registering for the DE examination can continue their registration at any of JAMB’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs).
The extended registration period is aimed at allowing the board to complete ongoing investigations into individuals who have been arrested or are under scrutiny for attempting to use fraudulent A-Level results during registration.
JAMB has warned candidates with questionable credentials to refrain from participating in the registration process, as the board has implemented measures to identify such individuals.
The board further advised those who have previously used fraudulent results to voluntarily withdraw from the process, as investigations are expanding to include students who may have already been admitted.
Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D., the Public Communication Advisor for JAMB, urged all candidates to adhere to the board’s guidelines to ensure the integrity of the registration process.
