FCT Police launch major crackdown on Criminal Hideouts, seek public support

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has begun a massive operation targeting criminal hideouts across the territory, as part of efforts to enhance public safety and restore peace in high-risk areas.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the operation was launched on the orders of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao Adewale. It will focus on known criminal flashpoints and hotspots within the FCT.
The operation will involve intelligence-led raids, stop-and-search activities, and regular patrols, all aimed at tackling armed robbery, kidnapping, drug peddling, and other violent crimes.
The police urged residents of the FCT to remain alert, law-abiding, and to cooperate fully with law enforcement officers as the operations progress.
They also appealed to parents and guardians to properly monitor their children and discourage any form of involvement in crime.
Furthermore, the police called on community leaders and members of the public to assist security efforts by promptly reporting any suspicious activities.
