LASTMA clears fallen gas tanker, cautions drivers over traffic delay
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have recovered a gas tanker that fell along a major road in Lagos on Monday, causing heavy traffic in the area.
According to a statement by the agency, the incident happened earlier in the day, and officers were quickly deployed to the scene to control traffic and ensure safety.
LASTMA confirmed that no lives were lost and that the gas tanker had been safely removed with the help of emergency responders.
The agency, however, advised motorists to use alternative routes as traffic congestion may persist until the area is fully cleared.
LASTMA also urged drivers to be cautious and avoid over-speeding or unsafe overtaking, especially when approaching accident prone areas.
